The Wake - On Our Honeymoon

Next month Captured Tracks reissues two hard to find 7" singles by Scottish band The Wake. Their first single 'On Our Honeymoon' from 1982 is great.

The label will also release a limited edition tribute 7" with Wild Nothing and Beach Fossils covering The Wake tracks, 'Gruesome Castle' and 'Plastic Flowers' respectively.

The second Crystal Stilts record In Love With Oblivion is out April 11th on Fortuna Pop! and Slumberland. I'm very much looking forward to it, there's no Crystal Stilts song that I don't love. Electricity In Our Homes just released a compilation of all their 7" and 12" singles. It's a limited edition of 100 hand-stickered and numbered copies. There are 17 tracks on it and it only costs £4. Go to their blog for details, I just ordered mine.

Kate Jackson - Weightless

A new demo from ex-Long Blondes singer Kate Jackson. It's quite long, when you think it's about to make a point it goes on. I like it but it could use some editing. It's good to see her back though. The two previous demo's 'The Atlantic' and 'Homeward Bound' are here.
