The new double A side single from TVEGC is out August 22. It has the two most straightforward tracks from their new record Bag of Meat. You have to listen to that one. It's shit weather here in Amsterdam and I have a shit lovelife so I play Bag of Meat every day really loud and it seems to work. Listen to the single below and get the CD here.
Bag of Meat is a masterpiece. I was very much looking forward to it. There are so many records that do nothing to me lately, so it's very welcome. It also comes at the right moment, there's a lot going on and I need a record with this amount of personality now. It kind of makes me nervous, I want to listen to all the songs at the same time, like this track 'Lost My Face In A Fast Car Race' is so striking and different I can't grasp it immediately. The VEGC are definitely my favourite band. They have to release this on vinyl soon, I need it this summer.

Warpaint were amazing yesterday night in the Paradiso, for the encore Emily played this song solo and the whole crowd was silent, quite special. Pic by Aldo.
I saw Crystal Stilts last week, it was a very cool gig. I missed them the last time they were playing and I always regret that. Their second record In Love With Oblivion is played here everyday, it's going to be one of my favourites this year for sure.
