Power + Light was released last year as a free mp3 and 12" vinyl. 50 Foot Wave recorded a new EP a couple of months ago called With Love From The Men's Room, there's no release date yet. Kristin Hersh called it 'a broken record' in a recent interview, with drummer Rob Ahlers playing a toy drumkit and almost killing it. 'My guitar was actually melted, literally burned. 5 strings were left on it.'

50 Foot Wave released this EP in 2006, it was a free download, before Radiohead made a lot of money with their free download. It has a slightly different sound than the previous EP + LP, but is distinctive 50 Foot Wave.

50 Foot Wave - 50 Foot Wave EP

In 2003 Kristin Hersh started a new band with Throwing Muses bassist Bernard Georges and drummer Rob Ahlers. The songs are distinctive Hersh songs but the context is rawer and faster than her previous work. They sound like a very fit band, the usual tempo changes that define Hersh's style are pushed to their limits in straight forward muscular punkrock songs. This EP is their first recording from 2004 with the foammouthed angry single 'Clara Bow'.
