Deerhunter - Colorscale

This is a bonustrack from the Japanese edition of Hacyon Digest. It sounds like an Atlas Sound track. There's another bonustrack, 'Rhythm', but I like this one best.

Deerhunter - Coronado

I'm happy Deerhunter is back with such a strong record. Listen to the track 'Coronado' below, the saxophone is so cool.

Deerhunter - Revival / Primitive 3D 7"

Beautiful new Deerhunter single. I think the b-side is the best song here.

Atlas Sound - Blog Mix

Atlas Sound's blog is full of great music he gives away for free. There are lots of EP's and virtual 7"'s there that are as interesting as his solo records. Lately he's posting his music a little less frequent then he used to, probably because he was busy with the new Deerhunter record.
I made a mix of some of my favourite songs from this blog, you can download it here and listen after the tracklist.

Tracklist:

1 - Without Headlights (from Virtual 7" No. 2)

2 - Lost And Found (for A.O.)
3 - My Car (from Things I'll Miss EP)

4 - Sea Burial
5 - Christian Names
6
- Acrylics (from How I Escaped The Prison of Fractals EP)
7 - Activation (from Orange Ohms Glow EP)
8 - Camcorder (from Virtual 7" No. 1)

9 - Galaxy Cruisers (for A.C.)
10 - Requiem For All The Lonely Teenagers With Passed Out Moms

11 - Middle School Instrumental (from Virtual 7" No. 2)

Deerhunter - Dr. Glass (Daytrotter Session)

I like this version of 'Dr. Glass' from Deerhunter's Daytrotter Session because the guitars are more spikey than in the original which appeared on the Flourescent Grey EP.

Atlas Sound - Shelia

'Shelia' is Atlas Sound's new single. I woke up very well with it this morning, it's a beautiful song. It's the first track off his new record Logos which is out at the end of this month.
Last year the demos of Logos leaked and Bradford Cox got a bit angry about that, because he wanted to present the record finished and then give away the demo's on his blog. He later apologised for his reaction, he gives away most music he records anyway. If the real Logos sounds like the demo's, it's gonna be a very good autumn.

Atlas Sound - Virtual 7" No. 2

Bradford Cox from Deerhunter works solo under the name Atlas Sound. Last year he released his debut on 4AD, 'Let The Blind Lead Those Who Can See But Cannot Feel'.
He is a prolific songwriter who constantly records his music. He shares his music on his blog, some of that music is even better than the album, like this 'virtual' 7" .
