Yesterday Veronica Falls were far out the best band on the London Calling festival here in Amsterdam. Perfect songs, perfect guitars and even more perfect drums. I was in front with my head on the stage listening to the great set, I hope they come back soon.
Veronica Falls' debut album is on repeat here, what a nice record! The intro of this song sounds a bit like Pixies but then it takes a different route.
I love this record, I was looking forward to it and now it's here today. Since 2009 Veronica Falls have released a handful of excellent singles that are all here. My favourite b-side 'Stephen' is on it as well. Below 'Right Side Of My Brain'.
Veronica Falls are from London and have a cool single out, Beachy Head. It's on the new Rough Trade compilation. 'Found Love In A Graveyard' is from a new EP. They sound a bit like Crystal Stilts with a female singer.
