R.E.M. - Discoverer (Stream)

Since Around The Sun I hold my breath when R.E.M. releases a new single, but this new track from the forthcoming LP Collapse Into Now sounds quite good, alive. I liked the last album a lot too and it seems like they continue that sound based on 'Discoverer'. Last week I listened to some 90's R.E.M. records, Monster and New Adventures, they are really good, but I'm still more a fan of the 80's stuff.
Below the stream. You can get the mp3 from R.E.M.'s website.

R.E.M. - Can't Get There From Here

This is one of my favourite R.E.M. singles. It's from the recently remastered Fables Of The Reconstruction. With Deerhunter and Soft Healer bringing back saxophone in indierock, this song got in my head the other day.

R.E.M. - Chronic Town EP

The first couple of R.E.M. records are super good, I've been listening to them for so long now that it's hard to hear them objectively. They are being remastered, Murmur and Reckoning were released last year and soon Fables Of The Reconstruction is out. I hope they will also remaster this first EP from 1982.
